MediaTek releases Genio 700 chipset for IoT devices

As an added feature, the chip has a dual-display and high-speed interfaces. MediaTek will demonstrate the new chipset at the Consumer Electronics Show in 2023.

MediaTek has released the octacore Genio 700 chipet. It was developed for smart home, retail and industrial IoT applications. The chipset is expected to be available commercially in Q2 of 2023. It supports FHD60+4K60 display resolutions and includes an Image Signal Processor (ISP) for enhanced visuals.

MediaTek Genio 700 IoT chipset is a power-efficient IoT chipset that features two ARM cores at 2.2GHz. The chipset also allows designers to integrate Yocto Linux Ubuntu and Android features into their creations.

The company claims that users can easily and quickly create their own solutions, regardless of the application type.

Richard Lu, Vice-President of MediaTek IoT Business Unit, says that the Genio 700 will allow us to provide our customers with the best possible support.
