MediaTek releases Genio 700 chipset for IoT devices

As an added feature, the chip has a dual-display and high-speed interfacing. MediaTek’s new chipset will be demonstrated at the Consumer Electronics Show in 2023.

MediaTek has released the octa core Genio 700 chipet. It was developed for smart homes, retail and industrial IoT. It will become commercially available in Q2 of 2023. The chipset supports FHD60+4K60 display resolutions and includes an Image Signal Processor (ISP) to enhance visuals.

MediaTek Genio 700 IoT chipset is a power-efficient IoT chip with two ARM cores at 2.2GHz. The chipset also allows designers to integrate Yocto Linux Ubuntu and Android into their designs.

The company claims that users can easily and quickly create their own solution with the help of this tool, regardless of what type of application they are using.

Richard Lu, Vice-President of MediaTek IoT Business Unit, says that the Genio 700 will allow us to provide our customers with the best possible support.
